Description: Radio and X-ray color composite image showing an area of the COSMOS field, roughly 70 x 50 squared arc minutes in size. The radio data shown were observed with the Very Large Array at 1.4 and 3 GHz (~20 and 10 cm, respectively; shown in green and blue, respectively), and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope at 610 MHz (~50 cm; shown in red). The dark-red to green gradients show the X-ray mosaic in the 0.5-2 keV band obtained by Chandra, and with wavelet filtering applied. Also overlayed are the Very Large Array (bottom-left), Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (bottom-right) interferometers, and the Chandra satellite (top-left).
