Za tu se svrhu koriste vrlo kratki vremenski laserski pulsevi kojima je, osim što omogućuju visoku vremensku razlučivost, u određenim uvjetima moguća i koherentna pobuda sistema.</span></strong></p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;" data-mce-style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #000000;" data-mce-style="color: #000000;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" data-mce-style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" data-mce-style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"></span></span></span></span></strong><p style="text-align: justify; margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="text-align: justify; margin: 0px;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;" data-mce-style="font-size: medium;">U predavanju će biti pokazano više primjera koherentne pobude atomskih, molekularnih i kristalnih, snažno-koreliranih, sustava detektiranih pomoću različitih tehnika kao što su četverovalno miješanje pomoću tranzijentne rešetke, pump-probe mjerenja tranzijentne apsorpcije ili refleksivnosti. Poznavanje osnovnih svojstava ultrakratkih pulseva važno je s eksperimentalnog gledišta jer omogućava optimalni eksperimentalni dizajn kao i mogućnost kvalitetne analize podataka. Osim što nam tranzijent daje informaciju o vremenu života koherencija i populacije, opažen je i zanimljivi interferencijski efekt koji efikasno onemogućava mjerenja u određenom vremenskom slijedu pulseva zbog destruktivne interferencije između različitih puteva pobude atoma.</span></strong></p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;" data-mce-style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #000000;" data-mce-style="color: #000000;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" data-mce-style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" data-mce-style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"></span></span></span></span></strong><p style="text-align: justify; margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="text-align: justify; margin: 0px;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;" data-mce-style="font-size: medium;">U molekulama, proučavanje procesa relaksacije i prijenosa energije u pigmentima koji sudjeluju u procesu fotosinteze važno je za razumijevanje iznimne brzine i efikasnosti fotosintetske pretvorbe energije. Ultrabrza spektroskopija kroz mjerenja tranzijentne apsorpcije omogućava mjerenje procesa relaksacije u prirodnim, ali i umjetno stvorenim molekulama što je zanimljivo s aspekta razvoja organskih solarnih ćelija, novih izvora svjetlosti itd. Mjerenjem tranzijentne apsorpcije moguće je odrediti relaksacijsku kinetiku. U slučajevima u kojima se pojavljuju ne apsorbirajuća ‘tamna stanja’, ili ukoliko se spektralni potpisi pojedinih stanja kroz koja se energija transferira preklapaju, nužna je globalna analiza izmjerenih vremenski ovisnih spektara.
