[seminar] Applications of statistical physics to Biology, IRB, 23-24 September 2017

Zavod za teorijsku fiziku Instituta Ruđer Bošković sa zadovoljstvom Vas
poziva na sudjelovanje u dvodnevnoj školi *Applications of statistical
physics to Biology <https://rbi-t-winning.wixsite.com/applications>*, koja
će se održati 23 - 24 rujna 2017. godine prema programu u prilogu.

Program je prilagođen studentima preddiplomskih i diplomskih studija te će
ga, barem djelomično, moći pratiti i matematičari i biolozi. Sva predavanja
se održavaju u Krilu Ivana Supeka, predavaona 1.


Škola će ugostiti vrhunske znanstvenike i izvrsne predavače:

Kim Sneppen, direktor centra za modele života (Center for Models of Life,
CMOL, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen), danski akademik i
otkrivač samo-organizirane kritičnosti i Bak-Sneppen modela.

Dear all,

We are pleased to announce the 2-day school on *Applications of statistical
physics to Biology <https://rbi-t-winning.wixsite.com/applications>*, which
is to be held in Zagreb (in the premises of Rudjer Boskovic Insitute) on
23-24 September 2017, according to the attached schedule.

The programme is specially designed for undergraduate and graduate physics
students, however mathematicians and biologists will be able to easily
follow the lectures as well. All lectures will be held in the Rudjer
Boskovic Institute (the lecture hall is located in the Ivan Supek wing
(Wing 1)).


The school will host top scientists and outstanding speakers:

Kim Sneppen, Director of the Center for Models of Life (CMOL, Niels Bohr
Institute, University of Copenhagen), Danish academician and developer of
Self-organized criticality and the Bak-Sneppen model.
