   SELECT EXPERIMENTAL TESTS OF THE STANDARD MODEL
                 AT LOW ENERGIES

The past several decades have witnessed extraordinary success of the
standard model (SM) of elementary particles and interactions when
confronted with a plethora of new measurements.  At the same time, the
precision of theoretical calculations and predictions for elementary
processes, especially at low energies, has improved radically. Jointly,
these developments have opened up a unique opportunity for testing the
limits of, and possible additions to, the SM by means of high-precision
measurements at low energies.  This talk will present results and plans
for several precision studies of rare decays of the $\pi$ meson, the $\mu$
lepton, as well as of the parameters of the neutron beta decay.
