Dear fellow biophysicists,

I will open a new group at the faculty of Mathematics and Physics in
Charles University, Prague starting this January.
I have a postdoctoral position to offer - this position will be focused on
molecular dynamics simulations in combination with continuum models.
(Helfrich etc.) The final aim is the construction of a toolkit for the
description of biomembrane remodeling induced by proteins and other
complex adsorbates.
An alternative possible project is semiconductors in membranes. In this
project molecular dynamics simulations are combined with advanced
electronic structure calculations to improve the spectroscopic sensitivity
of nanoparticles in membranes.

Applications of PhD students are also welcome. Prospective students need
to register by 31.12.2019. Starting time for the programme is March 2020.
All PhD projects deal with biomembrane remodeling, its multiscale
simulation and theoretical aspects.
