Dear friends and colleagues,

The group of Molecular and Statistical Biophysics at the Scuola
Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) of Trieste, Italy,
invites expressions of interest from qualified scholars in the field of
Bioinformatics or Systems Biology, in view of the possible opening of a
position at the Tenure Track or Associate Professor level in the group of
Molecular and Statistical Biophysics.

The candidate is expected to work as an independent principal investigator,
bringing complementary expertise to the Group which currently has a strong
focus on physics-based modelling, method development and applications.
Besides attracting external funds, the candidate is also expected to take
active part to the SISSA PhD programme in Physics and Chemistry of
Biological Systems and supervise students.

As a result of this enquiry, the Group will decide whether or not to fill a
position, and on the contract to offer or procedure to activate.

Group, Giovanni Bussi (giovanni.bussi at sissa.it).

Deadline for the receipt of applications: *Nov 5th, 2016*.

Applications (in Italian or English) should include:


   1. Curriculum Vitae with a complete publication list and the names of
   three referrals.
   2. A description of current research interests.
   3. Five publications on topics related to the sought areas of expertise.

SISSA is an international PhD school. Knowledge of Italian is not required.
