Biochemistry is "the chemistry of life". At the heart of life sciences, it is the study of the structure and properties of molecules in living organisms and how those molecules are made, changed and broken down, and also how and how fast they interact. Its practical approach applies the molecular aspects of chemistry to the vast variety of biological systems.
