Post-Doctoral Scientist at IBF-CNR Trento, Italy (expression of interest)

We are seeking an highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our 
team in the lab of Neurosystems and Photosensory Biophysics at the 
Institute of Biophysics, Unit of Trento, National Research Council of 
Italy.

The main focus of the lab is the biophysics of neuro- and photo-systems. 
Specifically, we are looking for a person with a strong background in 
biophysics and/or physiology to work with patch-clamp techniques on 
neurons and neuron-like cell models adhering to organic and/or inorganic 
memristive artificial surfaces. The project, named MaDEleNA and funded 
by the Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT), is aimed to study bio-hybrid 
interfaces able to mimic neuromorphic functionalities (see 
Juarez-Hernandez et al., Biophys. Chem. 208:40-47, 2016). Further 
attention will be addressed to the electrophysiological study of neurons 
expressing neurodegenerative diseases.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in electrophysiology, 
patch clamp in particular. In addition, molecular biology, optogenetic 
and imaging skills are desirable. A Ph.D. in biophysics or neurosciences 
or neurobiology could constitute a preferential title.
Autonomy, flexibility, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team 
are essential requisites.

The position will start at first 2016 quarter with a duration of one 
year. The competition announcement, salary and benefit will follow the
